Kuwait introduces new “Decency Laws”   2 comments

It is indecent to use a toilet in Kuwait and then not flush it.

It is indecent to spit in a public place.

It is indecent to chew gum and stick it any place.

It is indecent to Smoke in public places. Smoking permitted only designated areas.

It is indecent (fatally dangerous) to use mobiles while driving.

It is indecent for the speedometer to go beyond the 120 mark.

It is indecent to go to an outing on the beach or garden and then leave the litter behind.

It is indecent to follow pretty girls on the Gulf road and flash them your telephone numbers or just pester them.

It is indecent (inhuman) to treat a maid, cleaner or laborer in a derogatory manner.

The government of Kuwait makes no effort to hide the fact that the laws are strict.

Well, this is not exactly a news item of today, but I would to see a similar one in the near future with the word “indecent” being changed to “illegal”. It is a dream of mine (and of many people in Kuwait). Wonder how long will it take to see these taking effect.

Write down your wishlist (in the comments) to make a beautiful Kuwait.

Update 1

It is indecent to beat the crap out of your healthcare provider.
it is indecent to want to skip the queue because you are kuwaiti
it is indecent to not be able to go to a "real" park because there aren't any.

Update 2

It is indecent for our political system to be controlled by ignorant religious fundamentalists.
It is indecent that there is no separation of government and religion.
It is indecent to be ruled by laws that are based just on superstition, and belief in the supernatural.
It is indecent that statistics proof that the more religious a
government is, the more corrupt the country becomes, yet we still stick
to voting in bearded, fascist and terrorist supporting MP’s that are
announce that they are ambassadors of the Taliban, publicly praise
Osama bin laden, defend terrorist groups which terrorize their own
people, and glorifies the death of terrorists that tried to kill the
late emir (sh jabir) and those that took hostage a kuwaiti airliner.
it is a shame.
and we ask ourselves why we are so behind while we are sitting on top of nearly 10% of the worlds oil reserves!!!!!
This is indecent by anyones’s standard.
