The divorce rates are high due to a lack of things for couples to do, husbands spending time in diwaniyas as opposed than with their wife, and 'some' (keyword some) arranged marriages are just failures from the start due to a lack of understanding one another, etc. Also it's frowned upon for couples to show their affection in public and it's other small things that contribute to the deterioration of the marriage as a whole in my opinion.
